Goals:

Beautification is an important aspect of the master plan for the City of Flint. Parks and neighborhoods that need special attention have been specifically identified. It is our belief, this project will support this outcome. Durant Park has been targeted as one of these areas for blight reduction. It is our thought that developing murals that illustrate local and historical American leaders along with inspirational quotes and urban art forms will both beautify and educate the community. Additionally, the mobile murals have a dual benefit as they can be moved from location to location and finally used to board up empty Landbank properties to secure them from vandalism and criminal activity in the fall of the year. We hope to see a lot of participants through the summer!
